Ben is passionate about putting the client at the centre of the case management process.  He is highly approachable and able to adapt to meet the needs of the individual, ensuring that a positive therapeutic relationship is built from the outset.

Initially working as a physiotherapist in the NHS and private sectors, Ben then moved into the medico legal industry, where he has worked for over 10 years as a case manager, in a supervisory capacity and more recently for a legal firm.  He has an excellent grasp on the case manager’s role within the medico legal process and is confident in communicating with insurers, defendant, and claimant solicitors.

Ben specialises in working with clients who have sustained an acquired brain injury, complex orthopaedic trauma (including chronic pain) and amputations.  He uses an evidence-based approach to underpin his assessment and review processes, ensuring that individualised rehabilitation plans are developed that are meaningful to the client.  He provides regular updates to key stakeholders (e.g. instructing parties) to ensure they are aware of how the client is progressing through their rehabilitation.

Ben has been excellent to work with since day one, promptly able to visit my client in hospital for the purposes of starting work on the INA and keeping this updated prior to disclosure to ensure accuracy of information in a rapidly changing situation. During his initial visit and afterwards, he made particular efforts to maintain contact with the treating team, the family and to get to know more about my client’s situation pre injury and what was important to them. This went to the finer detail, including hobbies and interests of my client before her injury. This has helped to build trust with the family, who recently described him as being ‘fantastic’ to have in their corner. The INA once finalised contained all of the necessary information needed to assist with the litigation and clear, concise recommendations in the short term.
