Cathy Harris – Director, Memo: “AI: Data and its importance. A look at where AI gets its data from and what it does with yours”.
Explore how AI uses data in healthcare and rehabilitation: where it comes from, how it’s processed, and why protecting yours matters. This session demystifies AI’s relationship with information, helping professionals understand risks, opportunities, and safeguards to make informed choices for their practice and clients. Cathy Harris is the owner of Memo, a specialist proofreading and editing service that works closely with case managers, rehabilitation professionals, and medical service providers. With a background in teaching English (BA, PGCE) and over a decade of experience shaping high-quality writing, she combines deep linguistic expertise with rigorous attention to detail. As business owner, Cathy is passionate not only about clarity and precision in language, but also about leveraging new technologies to support professional communication. She is actively exploring how tools like AI (e.g. generative text models, editing assistants) can be integrated responsibly – enhancing efficiency without compromising accuracy or ethics.
