I began my career in health and social care in 2010 as a Support Worker for the NHS. I gained a wide range of experience of working with individuals with complex and challenging needs, learning disabilities and mental health and used my time there to study for a Level 3 Health and Social Care diploma.
In June 2015 I decided I wanted to start a small care business providing direct care and support to vulnerable adults living in and around Eastbourne, East Sussex. I started as a self-employed PA (Personal Assistant) and became approved by Support with Confidence in December 2015. I am highly trained and experienced as a community support worker and Manager and always strive to give individuals the empowerment and guiding hand to live a happy and fulfilled life and enable them to unlock their potential and build their confidence.
In recent years I have taken a real interest in acquired brain injury and have enjoyed working with clients, their families and multi-disciplinary teams to support and rehabilitate individuals. I am now looking forward to moving into the role of Case Manager Assistant.
I am very hard working and love to continually learn and gain new skills and increase my knowledge. I enjoy working closely with clients, other professionals and families to support the individual’s needs. Being a mother to three children I am very organised, patient and a good communicator and listener.
