As a specialist, senior OT I am used to working with a high degree of autonomy and clinical decision making. I am a problem-solving team player with excellent organisational, written and verbal communication skills. I have completed several medico-legal assessments for a specialist rehabilitation company so I am used to working independently and within time and budget parameters.
I have a wide range of experience in both Health and Social Care, with leadership and management experience in both settings. Working on both sides of the system has given me the experience and understanding to help improve clinical continuity for clients. It has always been important to me to provide high quality, client-focused care and my varied experiences have given me the ability to manage complex clinical cases and provide innovative solutions to enhance and improve patient experiences and outcomes.
In all of my roles, I have always elicited positive feedback from clients and family members and keep these as reminders to guide my practice. It is of the utmost importance to me that I am an advocate for my client and their family members, especially during times when they are going through major, life changing trauma,
I have an extensive rehabilitation background with excellent assessment and planning skills; having worked in the USA, I have had access to equipment and rehabilitation experiences that would not be available on the NHS.
