Matt is a Registered Nurse - Learning Disability (RNLD) and has worked in the case management field since 2015, as a case manager, clinical lead and safeguarding lead. Matt has experience across paediatrics, transitions and adult cases, working with clients facing multifactorial challenges and who have complex physical, medical and behavioural needs, as well as supervising other such case managers. Matt also has a familial role caring for a relative with complex needs, giving him particular empathy with his clients and their families.
Matt is a solutions-orientated case manager who can navigate complex dynamics to provide peace of mind to stakeholders. He has supervised numerous colleagues to find resolution to various case-related situations, and has developed strong relationships with referring parties, clients and families, in both litigation and settled cases.
Matt offers a calm and reassuring presence in uncertain times and provides a person-centred , individualised approach to each case he works. Matt has significant experience in risk management, safeguarding, mental capacity, best interests and consent, having worked on cases that can provide particular challenges across services, due to issues with factors such as various levels of cognitive impairment, mental health, offending, substance abuse, family strain/trauma and conflict resolution.
Matt is experienced in managing and working with direct care packages, agency care providers, schools, establishing and overseeing multidisciplinary teams and linking statutory and private providers. Matt works on medical negligence and personal injury cases, that often require long-term engagement.
