Esther has 16 years’ clinical experience working with adults with severe and enduring mental health conditions, traumatic brain injuries and amputees which supports and complements her work as a case manager.

Esther is an experienced Occupational Therapist (OT). She began her career as an OT in forensic secure units and community mental health teams, moving on to support veteran amputees who had also sustained brain injuries. She is highly experienced in creating and overseeing bespoke programmes of rehabilitation that improve both physical and mental health in order to enhance the client’s quality of life and deliver positive recovery outcomes. Esther combines her case management work with a supporting role at Headway UK which gives her a unique and ongoing insight into the statutory resources and third sector partnerships that can be beneficial for a brain injured client who is in recovery.

As a case manager Esther completes Initial Needs Assessments for clients who have cerebral palsy, severe mental health conditions, brain injuries and amputations. She has sound experience of coordinating and working with multidisciplinary teams. She has managed independent living trials to completion. Esther is confident with recruiting and managing complex care teams. and offers a meticulous, organised, and clinically robust approach to each individual client.

Esther is familiar with the litigation process and understands the importance of clear, well evidenced communication about the client’s needs as a key part of the case management process. She has a friendly positive approach and is able to put clients quickly at their ease in what are often very challenging situations.
